Taku - Mayfair, London

Completed in November 2022, Taku Mayfair is a 16-seat Omakase restaurant at 36 Albemarle Street, Mayfair, London run by Michelin-Starred chef Takuya Watanabe. Within 4 months of opening, the restaurant made it on to the list of Michelin One Star restaurants in March 2023.

Our design utilises traditional Japanese natural finishes and subtle lighting to shape the warm and welcoming fine dining experience.

The minimal design is meant to draw attention to the food with a set of carefully curated lighting. Guided by the soft glow on the side of the walls, diners are visually drawn to the masterpiece prepared by the chef under the spotlights. These spotlights are carefully placed directly above each customers' dining zone. This gives little to no distraction to their unique experience while enjoying the food.
