Ben Tseng is the founder of Layer 02 Design. With a passion for innovation, Ben continually pushes the boundaries of design, delivering unique solutions that combine functionality with creative vision.
Ben’s diverse professional background includes positions at leading firms such as David Miller Architects and Foster + Partners in London. His international portfolio spans prestigious high-end hospitality projects, including his work on the Red Sea developments in Saudi Arabia, where he contributed to luxury 5-star hotels, restaurants, and clubhouses for Rosewood and Ritz Carlton. Notably, Ben also served as one of the executive architects for the renowned Orla by Omniyat – Dorchester Collection, a landmark residential development at the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai during his time at Foster + Partners.
In addition to his practice, Ben is a passionate educator, serving as a unit tutor at DR50 and founding moooarch.com and studio • mOOO, platforms for architectural learning and collaboration. His work has been recognized by Architects' Journal, especially for his contributions to socially-driven design.
Ben's academic journey began at the University of Edinburgh, where he was awarded a full academic scholarship. His expertise has led to guest lecturing roles for the MArch Design and Technology research module, further cementing his position as a thought leader in the industry.
